Sibling Show by Theater Sonnevanck is a jazzy musical theater performance about family in all shapes and sizes. Actors Simon and Hannah Boer & Bart and Remco Sietsema are musical all-rounders and siblings. Their personal stories are interwoven with siblings from well-known fairy tales and mythologies.
Mike Evers created the lighting design for this performance.
Concept
Sanne Oostervink’s design concept creates a world that is both realistic and magical. A fairytale forest, built by the actors themselves, where the (green) curtain can be drawn and the (work) lights can be switched on and off by the performers.
Mike Evers enhances this world with efficiently placed backlighting, sidelights, and footlights; supplemented by special features such as moving fixture in the Front of House bridge, wireless fixtures used as footlights and torches, and low-voltage incandescent bulbs for strong integration with the set design.
